Although most students taking Biology 318 or its equivalent have most likely already taken Biology 220 or a course similar to 220, the majority of students will find this class to be more detailed and difficult. Having taken Biol 318 already, I understand how useful it is to have a variety of resources to help you with comprehension of the material. Sometimes the information presented in the textbook may be vague or may not be accompanied with visuals that are essential for allowing the material to sink in. When studying for this course, I found it very helpful to see several different sources for one topic, because seeing it in different contexts helps a student to both remember and understand the information. In this course, you can expect to learn, in detail, about the nervous, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems as well as being expected to know how to identify various parts of each of these systems.
Biol 318 is a required class for several majors, including Exercise Science or Nursing. Most students who are required to take this class will tell you that it is one of the most difficult classes they have to take in all of their curriculum. Some students choose to change their majors or even end up dropping out because of it. It does not have to be that hard though. Although you may not want to sign up for this class while you have a 20 hour course load, it is not impossible to get through it with a good grade. Hopefully the websites and tips found here will help you get out of there with a grade that is acceptable to you. Good Luck!
